i've never been so stressed in my life...

so... matt decided that we'd see the wedding crashers tonight. at 8, we left the apartment, and everything went downhill from there... starting with the ass driving behind, beside, and in front of us. yes, one ass. no, he didn't just pass, or we didn't just pass him. this guy was the most aggressive driver i've seen today, cutting everybody off to get ahead... and then ends up sitting behind a truck... next to an empty lane. so we end up passing him while he's staring at this truck's ass... and then we see him flying by on the very right. right up to someone's ass. right.

did i mention that matt was driving? well... on the exit onto west ox from 50... matt nearly flies into the curb. full speed. this would have been more than jumping the curb. i scream, matt jerks the car back... laughs... yeah, funny. did i mention that i'm rarely comfortable with other people's driving? you know, since i'm a control freak and all... there are always those thoughts going through my head... "aren't you going to pass?" "we're going too fast for your skills." "we're following way too close..."

anyway, we pull into the parking lot, and matt asks if we should park near the theatre (we were going to have dinner first)... i said yes because baja fresh is across the street (the not-real street that goes between two buildings in the strip mall). both are in the back, so i figured we'd go park in the back... and matt swings right. we are now in the front half of the parking lot... and i'm losing it. why did you ask me...? okay, mistake. matt tries to turn around to get back out of that quarter of the lot (so we can get to where we're actually supposed to be), and we manage to come to a dead end. in a parking lot. um, yeah.

after the movie... matt starts up the car, and it squeals, like it nearly always does. i told him to let off the brake, and he... turns off the car. then he starts the car with his foot off the brake... followed by releasing the hand brake. car starts drifting (car's in park, but the transmission gives more than the hand brake... hence putting in a hand brake). at this point, i'm sputtering. trying to pull out of the section of the lot, matt just goes. um... they don't have a stop sign. yeah.
