i've been neglectful...

my poor blog. matt sent me a link to a shirt that said "i'm blogging this." i realized how alone my blog must have been...

i wish i could get that shirt. and have it say "i'm *so* blogging this" instead. i am a girl, after all. i think.

so... after class (monday), dr. sandu flagged me down before i walked out the door. he was at the opposite door, surrounded by people. apparently... he may have an undergraduate research position open this summer, and wanted to know if i'd be interested. wow. i mean, i don't meet the requirements to be an undergraduate researcher. i feel special. no, seriously, that was like, my happy point of the day. i was happy after my interview for gc team leader, too (it was with rogeeeeeeer!), but... the undergrad research thing... i just feel so special =D yeah, appointment with him at 1:45 on wednesday to discuss. i'm excited.

i feel like such an idiot. i was updating the powerbook, and had it sitting on my desk, in front of my monitor (and slightly to the left... his jokes suck, but his delivery more than makes up for it all)... and i get confused between the trackpad and the mouse and the keyboards... my ims were ending up in my blogs. "why isn't the keyboard working?" well... it is... it's working for the OTHER COMPUTER. good girl.

so... what's happened since my last update? well, first of all spring break happened. i got my ring (hearts, for those of you keeping up). we told my parents over a wonderful outback meal (my family's first! michael ate so much...), and i spent a little under half of break at matt's.

i transported a bookcase from office depot to matt's in the odyssey, and then dismantled the box to move the large parts of it into matt's apartment before dumping the rest of the parts into matt's trunk. i'm sure i looked like a giant idiot because 1) i couldn't get the box open very well... and 2) the parts i was moving were like seven feet tall (long?). and i'm... not.

friday of spring break, joe came over. and by over, i mean... eastward from warrenton to... dulles towne center... to burke... and then to annandale. the dulles towne center thing earned me two weekends of roshambo and a ride in the roflcopter (the kid's rescue helicopter ride in the mall). in my defense, i said south.

that night, alex and monica came over, and took us (me, matt, joe) to a korean place, where alex kept dropping food (once into his drink), monica had to babysit all of us, and joe was the whitest guy there. oh, and our table was broken and i swear we almost set the place on fire. okay, maybe not, but it was bad.

matt came down a couple of weeks after break was over, and there was a giant feast at india garden (thanks to all who came out). it sucked for jess & co because they didn't cook their food all the way through... eew...

afterwards went bowling with joe and mike (the normal)... and spoon, who bowls from right to left (you know... as opposed to from back to front), but is amazingly good at it (when he's not infected by bad bowling vibes from yours truly). never really spent time with spoon before. he's lots more fun than the gelled hair would admit to.

a week and a half ago, matt was talking about coming down this weekend (this past weekend), and i asked jim if he'd be here... not knowing that it was easter weekend (huh? easter? wha?). yeah, jim wasn't going to be around. so matt made some comment about jim avoiding him, and i passed along to jim... and suddenly, jim was drivng me and joe to nova for dinner and a movie with matt saturday night. there were many donuts. there were many mustard stories. jim doesn't let anybody pay for anything. we almost built ourselves a fort at pizza hut. we saw BE COOL! we had ice cream at yum yum! (no, i'm not kidding. it's yum yum!). joe dropped his towel. merc sucks at donkey konga. slightly better at ddr with fingers. didn't ddr with feet for fear of waking up the mexicans. went and got more fuzzy yarn (and some mohair-infused fuzzy stuff for jess) on the way back, while the boys were in gamestop. we entered though a japanese store. somewhat disappointing. there were more donuts (twice as many this time). and chips. jim still wouldn't let us pay.

matt came down this weekend. jim wasn't here. joe didn't take us to the driving range. had nachos with jalepenos while out in town. soooo good. sooo cheap. we went to dream (the thai restaurant, not the club...) and we had strange food. mike ordered some pad ... prik thai (beats the hell outta me what was in the middle), and it was barely any food. joe ordered fried rice. they traded some. bowling afterwards. one new person. joe tipped my chair over. while all my stuff was in it. including me.

went to west end on sunday for sunday brunch, hoping for chocolate chip pancakes (bitch, i said i wanted pancakes), but they had buttermilk =(. had burgers and wings instead. then i treated matt to a milkshake while i got some boba (that the guy messed up... who the hell puts milk in fruit boba? especially acidic fruits... i mean, i know that's how they make them there, but i asked for NO MILK! <cries>), and matt gave me some cash from his atm so i wouldn't be totally out of cash (last of my cash went to food when we went bowling because i still had mad munchies). he's become my suga daddy. he's too nice to me...

okay, don't worry, i'm done.
